About Us

I was interested in dogs and their breeds since my teens. Still I first saw Pharaoh hounds not in Lithuania but in Poland in 1991. The owner was Annette Bistrup – an internationally approved FCI judge from Denmark and the owner of the famous “Nofretete” kennel.

Since that day all my thoughts were dedicated to a Pharaoh hound puppy. I collected data about this unique breed and joined into correspondence with Annetee who provided me with loads of valuable information.

In 1998 I bought a Pharaoh Hound bitch “Scheik’s Vanessa Mae” from a renown Finnish kennel “Scheik’s”. She was the first Pharaoh Hound to be brought to the Baltic States and the first dog in our newly established kennel “Gintariniai namai”.
